I've had my current laptop for around 4 years.

About a 2 years ago i suddenly had the BSOD screen come up while browsing. The message was Kernel Stack Inpage Error your pc has been shut down to prevent further damage etc etc. The BSOD started to become more frequent. I could not find a definitive answer to this problem so decided to reformat.

After the reformat all was ok for another year. I then started getting the BSOD again. This time it was stating Data Inpage Error. As again the problem started becoming more frequent i did another reformat.

All has been ok up untill a month ago. I again strarted to get the BSOD Data Inpage Error. I again reformatted but thois time the problem has not gone away. All seemed fine after the reformat but after a week The Data Inpage Error BSOD came back.

The problem i have now is that the pc will no longer start up. I press the power button, the pc beeps but then the screen stays black. The Windows logo does'nt come up & Windows does'nt load.

The pc came with a program called Pc Angel. This is an auto reformat program as the pc did'nt come with a Windows Xp disk. To get this program up i had to keep pressing F12 when starting the pc. This too is no longer working though.

The pc came with a recovery disk. The cd/dvd drive on pc is broken though so i can't get this to play.

I'm not sure what i can do now. I would like to get this laptop running again as don't really have the funds to replace at the moment.

I would suggest buying a new hard drive and CD-ROM for your lap top, and try that route. Your hard drive could simply be dead.
