I'm on a novell network and I need to know a computer name from a computer that is on the network. I know its IP address (its running DHCP not static). I tried ping -a xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and it gave me the same information as doing a ping without the -s switch. The computer is not on DNS.

Is there another command I can use or is there software someone would recommend?

try nbtstat -a xxx.xxx.xxx I'm not sure if this will work but give it a shot.
