Hello Sirs,
I recently obtained a nice little infection in which false Antivirus popups started and locked up my computer. I could not go to any website or run any programs.
A website would auto open wanting to sell, if I remember right, "Virus Protection Soft".
I was able to start in safe mode, use another computer to download Spybot-Search & Destroy, but it could not run without updating. I did not have internet access.
I was able to install Malwarebyte's and it removed enough of the virus to start in normal mode.
I still did not have internet access. I checked internet options and noticed Proxy server was checked. I unchecked this and had internet access again. I was then able to run Spybot-S&D and remove some more problems.
Computer seems to be running OK again.

I would like to post some logs for someone to check and make sure all is clean. I tried to run gmer, but it stops working during scan. Sometimes it crashes the computer to reboot.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Rick

Download this file and save it to your desktop:

Double-click the file to run it. A command window will open briefly. Then run a quick scan with Malwarebytes. Post the Malwarebytes log.
