I have been fighting this computer for 3 day. I ran a virus/spyware clean up. I am not sure if this is an existing problem or one that started after the clean up. I am unable to get any internet connection on wired or wireless. I tried a complete format and reload. All drivers are installed correctly. It looks like it is connecting, but keeps connecting to an unidentified network and will not give me internet. I am running vista, it is a dell laptop. Any ideas would be great

EDIT: Moved from Vista forum to more appropriate Networking ~ Hamluis.

We need some more info. What is the make and model of your router and modem? Open a command prompt and type the following without the quotes and post the results back here, "ipconfig /all". In Device Manager what does it sau about your wireless adapter and your NIC? Any yellow or red net to these items?
