My computer is doing something quite strange.

I'm trying to do a clean install of Windows Vista, but each and every time you get past the very first interactive part of the setup (after you select the country and language options) my computer restarts. I've tried a new hard drive, reset the BIOS settings. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be going on?

Is this a lap top or a desktop, and can you post your system specs?
