The web cam seems to be working fine via skype. However, if I turn it on via a website, it will immediately shut down the browser. Any ideas?

I would love to offer you some useful advice, however before I can do that I have to ask you what webcam brand you are using and what version of their driver software you have installed.

So if you can provide that information we'd love to offer you some suggestions on how to get things working as they should be.
