Hey all, I'm new to the forums and am curious as to what the little blue boxes are underneath my user name? I've seen some forums where you are ranked by fellow members of the community, as you receive more points, you get more boxes. Or are they just set to increase when you hit xx amount of posts?

post count, the more posts you make the more boxes you get. I forget all the exact levels, but once you get to 1000 you get to make a custom member title. :D

The blue squares are technically known as 'pips' for forum software purposes. We like to think of them as monitors represented in the BC logo.

The different levels are as follows:

1 Monitor New Member = 0-14 posts
2 Monitors Member = 15-149 posts
3 Monitors Forum Regular = 150-349 posts
4 Monitors Senior Member = 350-599 posts
5 Monitors Distinguished Member = 600-999 posts
6 Monitors Forum Addict = 1000 + posts (at this point, you can change Forum Addict to anything you wish, within the forum guidelines)

One thing to be aware of regarding post count. Posting in the Forum Games does not raise your post count. Also, useless or posts that do not add or contribute to the the threads will be deleted and your post count adjusted accordingly.

The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.
