 We have been unable to use our computers off and on for 3 weeks because of McAfee's "new" program. One got icons, arrow and programs bouncing all around the screen with no control by user. Had to unplug it. The other had a screen but no access to internet and a lot of problems with Windows. I contacted McAfee tech help, waited 4 days for a call back. I contacted them again and had to sit on the phone 3 hours waiting for the tech who turned out to be a female wih a terrible accent and a bad attitude. Took another hour to get the computer working again. Now today McAfee hit us again with downloads that caused problems on restart - both computers. How can we get the company to just do their job of virus scanning and stop causing problems? oldnurse

I'm not sure if you are aware of this oldnurse, but Mcafee has stated that they will compensate those that have been affected by their recent updates. Might be worth checking into. They openly admitted to screwing up, and I saw a news release that mentioned this. Sorry I don't have the link, but could mean some sort of compensation for their buggy update considering it is probably resulting in downtime for your company.

Might have to jump through hoops to get it, but still......worth looking into maybe.
