Yesterday I was doing research for a Biology paper when and I clicked on a search link and it took forever to load and wouldn't let me exit out so i just opened a new search window and continued searching, then it finally loaded and came up saying that windows firewall had to install something or something along those lines i don't really remember and i've gotten viruses before and was scared that it was one also so i just shut down my computer and booted it back up and it worked fine for the rest of the day then i tried booting it up today and now it won't detect wireless networks and won't connect to any either and i even stood right next to the router hoping it would detect it and it still said wireless networks unavailable! i really really hope this is an easy fix because i just got a virus removal a few months ago and would hate to go through the process again...please please please someone help! thanks!

EDIT: Moved from XP forum to more appropriate Am I Infected ~ Hamluis.
