Sometimes you can use a Xeon on a desktop board, but there doesn't seem to be real BIOs support for it. Asus lists a motherboard with Xeon support: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813131357
but it doesn't support the 5XXX series.
It would be much easier, and a heck of a lot cheaper, to grab a 980X, which is essentially the same CPU, and use it in a regular desktop X58 board.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...5-226-_-Product
