Hello All, this is my first post so please excuse me for any wrong doing or posting in the wrong place

Basically, over the last week or so I have been infected three times with Antispyware Soft or another slight variation of this.

Each time it has got a bit more difficult to remove.

Each time I was infected I had both Avast and Superantispyware running

This morning was the most recent, and hardest to remove. On all occasions I have used SuperAntispyware, Malwarebytes and/or Combofix as advised by this wonderful site.

When I was infected this morning I happened to notice that just before the Antispyware soft kicked in, I got an Java error message briefly pop up on my screen?

This as led me to completely uninstall Jave and run Javara. I have also scrubbed my system restore folder.

SO, my initial questions are.

Is it common knowledge that this latest high infection rate is a Java thing?

Are there Real benefits in me purching a full copy of Malwarebytes?

Please note the message text in blue at the top of the Am I infected? What do I do? forum.

No one should be using ComboFix unless specifically instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert who can interpret the logs. It is a powerful tool intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again. Please read the pinned topic ComboFix usage, Questions, Help? - Look here.

The full version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware includes the ability to schedule updates and provides a real-time malware protection module that stops malicious processes before they can infect your computer. The Protection Module which uses advanced heuristic scanning technology to monitor your system is not intrusive as it utilizes few system resources and should not conflict with other scanners or anti-virus programs. Keep in mind that Malwarebytes does not act as a real-time protection scanner for every file like an anti-virus program so it is intended to be a supplement, not a substitute. Those you purchase the full version receive a license key via email which includes a lifetime of free upgrades and support. For corporate and business customers, annual licenses are required.

over the last week or so I have been infected three times with Antispyware Soft or another slight variation of this.

Please read How Malware Spreads - How did I get infected which explains the most common ways malware is contracted and spread.
