for some reason animated gifs and avatars won't play on this thing and I have it enabled too..anyone have any ideas....

Have you ever tried Mozilla Firefox? It is a great web browser that dosn't have barely any problems. I used to use IE and got sick of all of the problems that happened with it so i switched to firefox.
