anybody know of a good book writen in laymans terms that explain the workings of a computer?
I want to learn how the damn thing works.

petewills is right, there is a ton of info out there. But if you think you need a book, I recomend This book on A+ certificatioin. I have his older book, it was the first book I read and he makes it easy to understand what's going on and why. :thumbsup:

Just Google (how computers work) and you will get 223,000,000 places on the web to choose from. There are just a over welling amount of information for free. Caution these sites are habit forming.
