I have aDell and I guess last week the XP Defender started downloading itself or my son allowed it to be downloaded to my computer. I can't browse the Internet and I do not know how to remove it either. I have read the guides on here and nothing is working. I use this computer for my online college and it has my saved stuff on it. Please I really need some help because I really need this computer and Best Buy wanted to charge me a 150 for the repair and I can't afford that Thank you Chris

Hello and welcome... You need to do all the steps.
Please follow our Removal Guide here How to remove XP Security Tool 2010,

You will move to the Automated Removal Instructions

After you completed that, post your scan log here, let me know how things are.
The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.
