Hello, thank you for this service.

I was looking through some sites and all of the sudden my McAffee went nuts, saying I was getting hit by a virus. It was one of those fake antispyware things. I tried closing out but it's obviously gotten into my computer, now I cannot start any programs with an .exe (I have malware bytes, ATF Cleaner, SuperAntiSpyware already on computer, but can't get any to open). When I try opening programs I get the "Open With" window that wants me to select something like adobe or a MS Office program to start it. Also, I right clicked on my Internet Explorer and tried looking at properties to clean out my cache, and it said "windows/system32/rundll.exe" app not found and wouldn't even open that.

If you can please help me I really appreciate it, I need to be able to use this computer. Thanks!
(Also, I'm not the most computer savvy guy, but can follow directions. So please bear with my computer ignorance)

Hey,

I posted a month ago but haven't had any response. My computer got infected I fear on some site. All of the sudden there were fake "antivirus" announcements and I couldn't open up any program. Since then I can now open programs, and I have run Malwarebytes (found 7 infected files) and SuperAntispyware. However, even after doing this my computer is incredibly slow and freezing up, so I fear there's still something hiding. Can someone please help?

Thanks,
MJ

Hello,

Sorry about the delay here. I'm glad you can get some programs to run now. I suggest you follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at step 6.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to try to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then post back here and we will provide you with further instructions.
