HI all for the past few weeks I have been having some trouble with my XP Pro system .First I was having some trouble with fire fox loading up some times I needed to reboot for it to load then I started to lose all of my restore points, at one time I had restore points a month back now all I can get to are three or days back then I noticed that all of my Icons in the program files are gone now yesterday I lost my Printer it works and when I hooked it up to my laptop it found it right away .So I thought may be I was starting to loss my USB ports , so I plugged in my camera it was found ,I then plugged in three different USB sticks and all were found . I am at a loss on this one . Oh yes last week one of my external drives started to have bad blocks all of a sudden so I shut it down

First: I figured Virus so I did a new full scan on all drives with AVG and it found nothing I do have Hijack this program but I have not used it in years and cant remember how to use it right.
Second: I was thinking if worse come to worse I will get a new drive and reload XP pro on it,but if I do not need to why do it.

Any and all help will be greatly Accepted

Seems like your PC is in a bit of an issue. Do you remember when this started happening? Try doing a system restore to that date. If you can't, try reinstalling your USB Hub Drivers and uninstall mozilla and reinstall.

Have you tried removing AVG and seeing if that causes the issue to be resolved?

I would love to do a restore but I do not have any points to go to since this started I all ways made sure that I had at least one restore point a week that was good but I can not get to them at allall it shows is a restore point from the start of this week
