Hi,

When I want to change from headphone to my speakers or vice versa, I do the go to bottom right hand corner of desktop to the sound icon and right click on it then I move up too the Playback Devices, Which I then right click to change... nothing happens I have tried going to device manager and updating the basic one and no changes So anyway any idea's I'm willing to give it a try.

Brad.

Same thing. I should have mention this as well, "Recording device" and "sounds" too don't come up on the screen only thing that works are "open volume mixer" and "volume control options".

Right-click sound icon > left-click Playback devices > right-click headphones

You should see this:

If that's not what you see, can you post a screenshot of what you do see?

I see....hmm....

I don't know, really....

You might try uninstalling your sound card drivers and rebooting (which will reinstall them). Not really sure what else to try.

The "Sound" is an integral part of the operating system. The only reason I can imagine that it doesn't come up is because of faulty drivers or something.
