Ive so far tested this after the rootkit infection sad.gif(

Restoring default system,software sam security files
Restored default
usbhub
usbport
usbehci


Nothing works, can't get my keyboard and mouse work after XP bootup screen logo
but bios and boot devices are reacting on movements & keypresses mad.gif

This is a person who had the exactly same problem, and im are awaiting pm from him too but need your help aswell!



Please help me at this, any BC admin or something :flowers:

Hi -

Can you open in Safe mode (tapping F8 as your computer starts) and operate the mouse or keyboard ??

The problem is, that doesnt working either :S

Im currently gonna test replacing these 3 files by the originals from the XP cd-rom with recovery consol

Hi -

Somehow you need to type or cut and paste sfc /scannow into your Run Box - Click OK and insert your XP CD -
Not sure how you can do it without a mouse or keyboard though -

Chances are that you may have altered too many settings in BIOS -

Im currently doing chkdsk and then testing sfc /scannow in recovery console and replying as soon im done :thumbsup:

Hmm my chkdsk /p found volume errors and i then continued with command /r instead, but it has stopped on 56% :S

If a chkdsk stops during the scan and doesn't finish, that is usually indicative of a failing hard drive (you said found errors, as well).
