I have a PC in the office thats just been infected by Vista Security
Looking at this forum, a lot of people eventually find out where to go to find info on how to remove Malware

Having been infected by a similar rogue 1 month ago and following the removal procedures, eventually after 4 hours work it was removed
I was not tempted to buy the pro version of Malwarebytes, but after todays infection, it looks like 60 of company cash is going their way to buy a full licence

Hopefully installing more scanning software will reduce the future possibility of infection and time wasted.

The questions I have if anyone can answer them simply are:

1 - How do these malware programs get transmitted and then install themselves?
2 - I know about visiting websites that have hidden code, can it also be done via email?
3 - if it is by email, does receiving the email start the infection? does using a preview pane start infection or does the email actually need to opened to start infection?

Please read How Malware Spreads - How did I get infected which explains the most common ways malware is contracted and spread.
