Hi elaine@m&s,

Your log is free of any malware. Your problems appear to be due to your attempt to "backdate" your computer and HijackThis can't help you with that.

It sounds to me as tho what you tried to do is illegal and we can't support any activities of that kind. If you can't afford to renew your subscription to Norton you should uninstall it and use a free antivirus, there are plenty to choose from.

Antivir
Avast Free
AVG Free
Bitdefender Free

Besides, Norton is not all that great and is heavy on resources.

I'll see if I can get your PC back to a running state so that you can do that, but this should probably be posted in a different forum where others might have some ideas.

First can you tell me what you did to "backdate" your PC? Did you change the time on your system clock or use System Restore or just what exactly? Also have you tried to reverse what you did--if so exactly what steps did you take?

You may have no other choice but to reformat your PC and start over. If you can back up your important data I suggest you do it now. Otherwise I'll see if I can help you at least get to that point.
