Hi guys.

I was searching about this problem, and I found that I should use TDSSKiller. When I start it, I get message that my atapi.sys file is infected, and that I need to restart computer to fix it (to be cured). I restarted it five times till now, and I still cann't get rid of this virus.

Next thing, I tried is GMER. It says that my atapi.sys is suspicious.

So, I found something about rescue console, but I don't know how to use it nor I even have WindowsXP setup CD here.

Is there any chance to download the atapi.sys file from internet and to fix this problem?

EDIT: Moved from XP forum to Am I Infected, more appropriate forum ~ Hamluis.

This infection requires an in-depth look. Simply replacing the atapi.sys file will not solve the problem.
