Well, Ive managed to screw myself over. I was on my laptop earlier today, simply browsing, when IE procedded to crash. A BSOD appear instantly, then the machine went to reboot.

But for some reason, the display doesn't turn on, the BIOS screen never appears, and I'm stick in a continous boot loop.

I haven't changed any of my hardware; I didn't flash my BIOS, I just found a way to screw my computer

Acer Aspire 5735z
Windows 7
VIPRE antivirus (if that makes a difference)

I dont think the display has a problem, the HDD is fine, but do you think it could be the mobo?

You've tried attaching a monitor? If I didn't get a POST screen, I'd be suspicious of video support and try a monitor.

I'd also remove the hard drive...attach it to a second system temporarily...and run chkdsk /r and an updated/reliable AV program on it.
