I am currently having a problem with (what I suppose is) a virus. Recently, my gMail account sent out messages to all parties in my address book. Upon opening one such message, certain personal data stored on that computer seemingly became compromised. This resulted in the alteration of a personal account on a social networking site, as well as a failed access attempt of an investment account. I ran an anti-virus sweep of the computer using AVG, but turned up nothing. I also recorded a HijackThis log, but am not able to personally analyze it. I can post the log upon request if necessary. Hopefully someone out there has an idea as to what may be the issue. As investments and the like are not FDIC insured, I'd be devastated to lose such funds, with no recourse. Any help at all in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
