The STOP error might occur when more than 1 webpage is opened at a time. I'm not 100% positive, though. I asked him, and he just shrugged, lol (he's obviously SUPER helpful!). Since I've taken the computer, I've gotten the error once or twice and that was the only "common" cause I could think of that could possibly overload it and cause it to happen.
I believe the stop error was 0x00000000c5. It will only appear for a second or two before shutting the computer down. I searched online and found this site:
http://aumha.org/a/stop.php#0xc5 (if I'm not allowed to post that, I'm sorry!). From what I gathered it can occur when I've installed new software. At the time, everything on the computer would be considered new. Other than the antivirus program I put on here (Avast!), I don't think anything at all has been added to the computer. I also checked for updated drivers, as the site suggested, however I honestly don't know what I am looking for. For this computer alone I found (total) 63 different updates on Toshiba's website. I don't want to install them all if they are unnecessary (I actually started to do so, but the first one I clicked took over an hour by itself. Considering the amount of updates, I really don't want to spend weeks downloading all of them - especially if they aren't the root of the problem).
Thank you for any suggestions!!
