No internet access

I have a Vista based PC

I get not get internet access. I do have a network connection and get get updated email via windows mail

When I type a URL i get a connecting messages and nothing hapeens

I did have a rogue anti virus program on my PC last night.

This program tok contrl of my PC. One of my spyware program cleanned it but i am wondering if this did more damage and is realted to no internet access

Virus and anti spy scan this morning show nothing

I would apprciate any help on getting internet access back

I solved my own problem

The find automatic find setting box in IE was not checked

I am assuming the "infection" has something to do with this
