Okay. Ran it twice.

First time, it crashed and rebooted.

Ran it a second time. Blue screen of death. It mentioned a problem with fwtdypos.sys

Page fault in non-page area. Address B32BB53E base at B32B7000 datestamp 4b274f8d

Dump of physical memory beginning

Now I've rebooted, and Windows is telling me there was a fatal error. I have the box still open, so I can type it at you:

Error signature
BCCode: 10000050 BCP1: FD725008 BCP2: 00000000 BCP3: B32BB53E
BCP4: 00000000 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP:3_0 Product 256_1

When I tell it I want to see the error report it says:

C:\DOCUME~1\Jacques\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER6ACD.dir00\Mini042610-02.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Jacques\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER6ACD.dir00\sysdata.xml

What would you like me to do next?

Please run Combofix for me, we'll have to bypass the rootkit scan here

Please download ComboFix from one of these locations:* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop making sure you rename it comfix.exe
  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. (Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive.)
  • Double click on Comfix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

There's a backdoor/trojan that's running. Please rerun Combofix as below.

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

QUOTE
File::
c:\docume~1\Jacques\LOCALS~1\Temp\gtermddo.sys

Driver::
gtermddo

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.

Yep, that looks great. Can you run an online scan just to pick up malware remnants

I'd like us to scan your machine with ESET OnlineScan
  1. Hold down Control and click on the following link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.
    ESET OnlineScan
  2. Click the button.
  3. For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)
    1. Click on to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.
    2. Double click on the icon on your desktop.
  4. Check
  5. Click the button.
  6. Accept any security warnings from your browser.
  7. Check
  8. Push the Start button.
  9. ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
  10. When the scan completes, push
  11. Push , and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
  12. Push the button.
  13. Push
NOTE: If no malware is found there will be no option to export the text file as no log will be produced. Let me know if this is the case.
