Hi, I am new to this site and I have a question. What programs are very important to keep in Windows 7? I wanna know and learn all I can so any advice is accepted, thankyou

Just a idea. Keep all the programs and work with them. You will be the only one who can make that choice. Learning a new operating system is fun. I learn more every day just reading post on this site. There is no magic just learning. Wish you well. :huh:

Just in case, make sure you make a VLite recovery disk(;
It's freeware you can use to make a recovery disk that installs drivers and programs you want it to.

--Substitute Vista CD's for Windows 7.

To give you a specific answer, the ONLY program that you should consider a requirement is your security software. All the rest is just extra, and is open for retooling, IMO.

yes good security software is a necessity and some good ones i use are Avast! and Malwarebytes.
