Running Win XP 3 booted up had malware, rebooted in safe mode ran virus scan and malwarebytes got rid of virus now the keyboard wont work in Windows. Ir will work till the Win screen then the shortcut keys work but not the typing keys. Tried using device manager, there was a yellow exclamation in keyboard, deleted drivers and restarted. Got a error code #38 cannot load this device because a previous device is loaded. I am completely baffeled. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you

try reinstalling the driver by going to start then control panel then administrator tools then computer management then device management then find keyboard then right click reinstall then restart windows.

You could also try this?

If it is a USB Keyboard, try a PS/2 Keyboard, purple Connector. If it works fine, it is in your Drivers or BIOS. In BIOS make sure USB Legacy is enabled. The Malware may have knocked it out.

Having same issue. PS/2 keyboard works. But USB keyboard has error. Would really like a good solution for this.
