Why here in italy?

When you buy a brand new desktop, laptop or netbook with windows OS here in italy is they dont come with the OS dvd/cd instalation disc?..I ask my buddy in states for comparison and he said..YOu must have the OS because time will come there will be a problem with the computer..yes but here you buy the computer and that's it...?????can pls! someone give a explanation...tnx!

It used to be that way, but now most computer retailers do not ship their computers with a Windows install CD/DVD at all. Rather, they now usually put a special "recovery" partition on the hard drive that contains a disk image of the default Windows install. This is a bad thing, in my opinion.

You might try contacting the vendor and requesting a physical CD. They may oblige you, though you'll probably have to pay for shipping.
