Hi, I just noticed this 'fan control' screen is on my system so am I supposed to use it to adjust the fan in some way?
The fan seems to be running okay, so shall I leave it alone? Do the settings look alright to you?
And under what circumstances would I ever want to adjust the settings?

That gui is related to your graphics card's tempatures, where it says 40c, I wouldn't complain about that temp if that's usually where it sits.

I noticed the gauges seem to be idle though, unless its because I am not seeing them in motion.

You could adjust them to a lower fan speed if you were trying to quiet down the computer.. ie HTPC, I would be sure that the temp of the GPU stays within a safe level though when doing so...
