While I have been researching a possible virus, I opened my add/remove program list and the very first program listed is the less than sign (symbol). I'm wondering if this is something that accidently got renamed or if it is part of the virus. Through Windows Explorer, I searched through all files for the symbol and found nothing. Nothing Googled, either. Is there a way I can find out anything about this supposed program? There is no information except the size (.80 MB). I don't want to deleted it thinking it might possibly be a working program that got renamed. Or is that just an impossibility?

Running Windows XP Pro with latest updates.

i suggest that you Please post a Posted Image in the Am I infected? What do I do? sub-forum with a description of your problem and the steps taken so far.
