my problem started out when i went to a myspace page,i did not install anything prior to checking this hot chicks myspace page out, upon loading her profile page my PC froze,i did a reboot and wallah the problems began.
its been about a month now since it all started so i can only hope to remember all the details. first i started to experience error messages stating the "windows cannot open the program because it is infected with a virus" this is not the exact wording,i cant remember since it was a month ago. i could not open anything, spy bot, adaware,my browser, task manager, steam, security center, word pad, eTc... i had no internet access either. i tired several things to gain access to the internet ,i managed to get the internet access by going to run/msconfig and stopped everything on startup. i updated and ran spybot search and destroy and adaware but had little change with this. upon rebooting the problems began all over,i repeated the process once again and posted on my community forum for help and it was told adaware is kind of useless and to use "superantispyware"
i downloaded, installed and ran this program,it found a tremendous amount of problems but did not fix mine.

had a week pause since a winter storm knocked out the power and we needed to stay warm somehow!

went back to the forums and again suggested to download MalwareBytes i did and it helped tremendously but did not get rid of the problems of slow loading browser and freezing up resulting in a hard boot, and my games not loading such as CSS.i unistalled firefox and reinstalled it but this did not help, this includes IE as well.

again back to the forums for more suggestions.

this is what was suggested

Combo Fix (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe)
Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org)
LittleRegistryCleaner
Spybot S&D

since i had Malwarebytes and Spybot S&D already i went and got LittleRegistryCleaner and ran this. although the first time i ran it everything was great,it was like i had a brand new machine again....until i rebooted the next morning..GRRR

it had started all over, it took me 3 days to get internet access again,i went to run/services.msc and had to start the services manually to gain internet,i ran the 3 again and it didnt help, all my system settings were changed and my game settings as well as my games admin config.

im now experiencing slow loading browser and loading games, browser freezes up and i have to do a hard shut down and reboot,CSS occasionally freezes but not that often,.i just downloaded the free ver of COD modern warfare (its a free weekend) and the first game froze up on me and had to hard boot.

i ran Hijackthis and it suggested i post a log here but i can not figure out how to post the log.

somewhere along the way i managed to write down the name of 2 things which are "Win32 nuqel.e and BankerFox.A"
i dont remember where or how i got them but i did do a google search and follow up on how to remove these and in all the confusion i forgot all about them. i hope my rant didnt confuse anyone.

ok i forgot to mention that when i boot up i immediately open task manager and stop everything that is not a critical system exe. i noticed when i stop wscntfy.exe my browser loads almost immediately and i can browse longer before it freezes, same with loading CSS,it seems to load a lot quicker when i continually hit end process. its funny now since this is the longest ive been able to post and it hasnt froze up on me.

ok i found the saved log file and copy pasted it below.....

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control HERE

Please download GMER from one of the following locations and save it to your desktop:
  • Main Mirror
This version will download a randomly named file (Recommended)
  • Zipped Mirror
This version will download a zip file you will need to extract first. If you use this mirror, please extract the zip file to your desktop.
  • Disconnect from the Internet and close all running programs.
  • Temporarily disable any real-time active protection so your security programs will not conflict with gmer's driver.
  • Double-click on the randomly named GMER file (i.e. n7gmo46c.exe) and allow the gmer.sys driver to load if asked.
  • Note: If you downloaded the zipped version, extract the file to its own folder such as C:\gmer and then double-click on gmer.exe.

  • GMER will open to the Rootkit/Malware tab and perform an automatic quick scan when first run. (do not use the computer while the scan is in progress)
  • If you receive a WARNING!!! about rootkit activity and are asked to fully scan your system...click NO.
  • Now click the Scan button. If you see a rootkit warning window, click OK.
  • When the scan is finished, click the Save... button to save the scan results to your Desktop. Save the file as gmer.log.
  • Click the Copy button and paste the results into your next reply.
  • Exit GMER and re-enable all active protection when done.
-- If you encounter any problems, try running GMER in Safe Mode.
regards,
schrauber
