Thanks in advance for any help/instruction. You guys do great work!

When I run a google search, the results appear normal, but when I click on any of the result links, I am redirected to a page seemingly unconnected to the search. The only way I have been able to get around this is to right click -> copy link location -> new tab -> paste url -> enter.

Also, occasionally when browsing, random sites will open themselves in new tabs when I have not clicked anything.

I have run scans with MBAM and Avast Anti-Virus, but they find nothing.

I am running Windows XP and using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3

The virus slipped past my constantly running Avast.

I am tempted to run combofix as recommended here and outlined here, but I'm a little scared to do so because I know it is a very powerful tool.

Thanks again!
