Card Reader Crash

The internal card reader, in my Dell Dimension 3100 p.c. (XP SP2), is malfunctioning (error code 10).

I have tried reinstallation - nothing. Any advice/suggestions? 5.1.2600.0 driver. T.I.A.

Have you checked Dell.com to see if the have an updated driver?

what kind of reader is it IE. SD? also something of a long shot but try and see if it has any dust in the slot also how big is the media you are trying to read?
