Hello

First time I've posted and hopefully in the right place but I need some help.

About a month ago, after turning on my computer all that was loaded was the Windows wallpaper, nothing else! This is the first real chance of trying to sort the problem..

If I right click nothing happens, I can only start internet explorer etc by doing Ctrl-Alt-Del and clicking on the Task Manager.

I have Norton Internet Security, Spybot - Search and Destroy plus Spyblaster all of which I have ran today and say that my computer is clean.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

It sounds like explorer.exe is not functioning. If you can browse and get that running in task manager, the interface shell should return. Then I would check out your computer's startup config, and be certain it is listed.

Note: this is not IE Explorer, but Windows Program Manager or Windows Explorer, listed as explorer.exe.
