I've been having some issues with electronics in general lately, however motherboards have topped the list. Recently I built a new computer using an ASUS P5Q Pro motherboard. When trying to boot up I get nothing to post. I've tried the memory configuration, different memory, calbes, different hard drive, power supply, two different video cards, diffrent monitors, flashed the bios, different processor... and prolly some more I can't think of off the top of my head. It seems it may be an RMA?
Well after doing all this since I needed a computer I build one using one of my old boards, a Gigabyte G41 something. After getting that all together I attempted to boot it up and no post... now granted this board was originally an open box item from newegg, it worked just fine. However I had it stored in a box with other spare equiptment, without being in a static free bag. I've tried everything above with this motherboard too, and no luck. Am I missing something huge here or am I just having terrible luck as of late? Just had to RMA a new video card, the Rovio I purchased off Woot, and my laptop wireless card died in the same week... Granted I've never had an RMA in the past I feel as if they have all caught up with me, at the same time. Please help...

electrical problems in the location?
dry static charged air?

to check for post i always just throw a processor on a board and disconnect everything else.
that should at least give you a beep code if you have you system speaker hooked up properly.
start from there.
add memory and a video source if no onboard video and that should give something on the screen.

if that all fails i think you either have a bad processor or just some bum luck and 2 bad boards.

Figured I'd update this real quick, I'm a moron it was the power supply. It was new and had worked in the last machine so I thought I could rule it out... negative.
