I am suspicious about "PC Tools Registry Mechanic" that got installed on my computer for 2 reasons.

1) I did not install it.
2) I did a search and there is some trojan out there called fake.pctools.

So how do I find out if my computer is infected? If it is infected, how do I remove this software?

I don't want to run the "uninstall," because I didn't know what it would do. I am also afraid to reboot my computer.

Here is a screen shot of what "Registry Mechanic" is currently displaying.

I didn't want to click any buttons.

I am using Windows XP
