first i'll like to say hi, and i'll be thankful for any help you can send my way. i don't know much about computers. i was never taught, i learned by just turning it on and exploring, as well as reading!! but i do know i'm using ''Windows Xp''

i wanna post my highjack log here, so a professional can view it, and let me know what should be deleted. i followed yall directions, i saved my highjack log, but when i try to open it, it says windows cannot find notepad!!!

is there a way i can get notepad again?

and once i get that, i'll like to post my saved log here to be viewed!!!

Hi thankyou,

... and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

2 things to try here... you can use My Computer to browse to the c:\windows folder. Copy notepad.exe to the c:\windows\system32 folder.

You can also open the .txt file hjt creates using wordpad. (Browse for a .txt file) and then inside there cut and paste it to a new thread in the the HJT forums.

HJT Forums

I hope this helps with the notepad issue. The HJT folks are very good and will take good care of you.

Take care,

Hello, thankyou and  to Bleeping Computer.

Just please keep in mind that all Highjack This Team Members are volunteers. One must practice a little patience, when waiting for help. I promise you though that they will get to you as soon as they are able.

And above all do not attempt to work on your log yourself. And only take the advice from an official HJT Team Member.
Which will show under thier name and avatar.

One more thing. Do not reply to your own post. As the Team keeps an eye out for zero replies. If they see a reply they will assume that someone is already helping you out. Then I'm afraid that you may get lost in the shuffle.

Good Luck!
