When I login to Ebay or Capital One's websites, I am redirected to a screen that asks for my credit card information along with the pin number. I read on this website it is possibly a virus or trojan deep in my computer somewhere. I have ran Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, SpyDoctor, Avast Antivirus and none of them can find anything. Also sometimes when I am doing a search for something on the internet whether with Firefox or IE, it will only let me type one letter every 5 seconds or so.
Thank you for taking the time to help me.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control HERE

We also need a new log from the GMER anti-rootkit scanner. Please first disable any CD emulation programs using the steps found in this topic:

Why we request you disable CD Emulation when receiving Malware Removal Advice

Then create another GMER log and post it as an attachment to the reply where you post your new DDS log. Instructions on how to properly create a GMER log can be found here:

How to create a GMER log

This problem is not fixed yet, but I am not able to run those logs again for you until the end of the week. Thank you for your response.

Okay I am finally back in town. I am still having the same problems I listed above and also when I do a search on the internet like on google.com it takes me to a different page than the link I am wanting to go to. I have attached the two files from dds, the gmer.exe program keeps crashing, but I will keep trying to run that log. Thank you.

I have tried to run gmer.exe multiple times and I keep getting the blue screen of death. It tells me it has encountered a problem and has to close and then it crashes my computer to the blue screen. I wrote down the stop message the last two times I tried it.

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x80563FEF, 0xF9C91AF8, 0x00000000)

STOP: 0x0000007F (0xC0000008, 0x80042000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Hello ABCs123s smile.gif Welcome to the BC HijackThis Log and Analysis forum. I will be assisting you in cleaning up your system.

I ask that you refrain from running tools other than those we suggest while we are cleaning up your computer. The reason for this is so we know what is going on with the machine at any time. Some programs can interfere with others and hamper the recovery process.

In the upper right hand corner of the topic you will see a button called Options. If you click on this in the drop-down menu you can choose Track this topic. By doing this and then choosing Immediate E-Mail notification and then clicking on Proceed you will be advised when we respond the your topic and facilitate the cleaning of your machine.

Please keep in mind that we have a large backlog of users just like yourself waiting to be helped so try to be as timely as possible in your replies. Since we do this on a part-time voluntary basis we are limited on how many logs we can respond to and keep open due to time restraints. If you have to be away or can't answer for some other reason just let me know. Thank you for your understanding.

After 5 days if a topic is not replied to we assume it has been abandoned and it is closed.

I see from your log you have installed ComboFix on your machine. I will need the log it produced at C\ComboFix.txt in your next reply. If you have run it more than once let me know so I can direct you to the oldest log

Note: Please post the log in the reply window and do not make it an attachment. Do this with all subsequent replies unless I ask otherwise.

Thanks,

thewall

Thank you for your quick reply. I did a search on my computer for the combofix.txt file and it didn't find anything. I must have not saved it or I just can't find it. Sorry. Can you lead me in the right direction?

Did you run the program to it's completion and if so how many times?

I don't believe it ever completed. If I remember right it kept crashing.
What ever the problem is, it seems to be getting worse, because I have already gotten the blue screen of death 4 times today.

Try running GMER with everything unchecked except Sections. If it still won't run don't try to force ti.

When you tried to run ComboFix(CF from here on out) did you have all of your security tools turned off? Antivirus and things like Windows Defender, TeaTimer if you have them.

I only use Avast! Antivirus. I apologize, but I don't recall whether I turned it off first or not.
Another note, when I was trying to find the combofix file, I clicked My Computer, C drive, combofix. Then it went back to showing all my drives. I clicked C drive again, combofix again, and that is the loop it took me in over and over? Why is it doing that?

Not really sure. Haven't run into that before. Do you have ComboFix installed on your desktop?
