Last night, my browser was being hijacked. Ran the Silent Runners script, which found a few instances associated with malware. I ran DDS and saved the logs. Started GMER and went to bed since it was taking a while. Woke up to find XP Smart Security pop ups. The browser window I'd had open last night to post my logs crashed, and now I can't run any executables.

Originally, it was telling me that the extension .exe wasn't associated with a program (asking me to select one from a list), and trying to open anything in control panel gave me a rundll32.exe error. Now, clicking to open anything results in no action at all. Computer just sits there.

Sorry for the lack of logs, but the logs are on the infected computer and I'm using another.

EDIT: Moved from XP to more appropriate forum ~ Hamluis.
Sorry! Was reading XP forums for something else and ended up mis posting.

Sorry for the delay there. Unfortunately, things do slip past us in the Am I Infected forum. If you still need assistance with this issue, please create a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues, describe what happens when you try to run GMER, and include the DDS logs.
