Access - checkbox in a column sorted?

I have an Access database with a column that has a checkbox in it.....the checkbox is a way for me to know which orders are consolidated between two entities. How do I filter that column to only show info if the checkbox is selected.....and how do I filter that info to show year 2009 stuff vs. year 2010 stuff? I apologize in advance....new job, not that familiar with Access and dealing with a database I did not build....
