The updates in question are ATI TECH INC-ATI DISPLAY RADEON HD2400PRO 8.612.0.0 driver date 4/18/09 which replaced 8.530.0.0 of 8/20/08. Installed at same time was optional update from DELL INC. DISPLAY-DELL SE198WFP[analog] pub.8/21/08. I have tried install but they are not listed when that option is chosen even though they appear on the successful installed history list. I Have yet to notice any problems which warrant the warning so I just kept pushing the OK button but now it's time to address the problem. OS=VISTA HOME PREM. SP2.

What "warning" are you talking about? You will have to start at the beginning and explain exactly what you are seeing.

From what I gather, Windows Update is trying to update drivers, but you're getting some kind of a warning message....but you will have to confirm and/or clarify that before I can attempt to help you.
