Hello and welcome to BleepingComputer.

Download LSPFix and unzip into it's own folder. If the next step leaves you without a functioning internet connection, you will need to run this.

To remove New.net please go to Add/Remove Programs, look for and remove New.Net. If you can't find it, then please go here and follow the removal instructions in Procedure 4 at the bottom of the page.

If you can not connect to the Internet after removing New.net, please run the LSP-Fix program I had you download earlier, and click on the finish button. Reboot and you should be able to get back on.

Note: Misuse of LSPFix can cause loss of internet connectivity. Do not use it if it is not required.

Configure Windows to enable viewing of Hidden and System files.

Start HJT and click on the SCAN button. Put a check mark in front of the following lines if they still show:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,Default_Search_URL = http://minisearch.startnow.com/
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {09298668-0DB7-D315-83CB-30394A2AED7B} - blank (file missing)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [readme platform manager inter] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\drive spam readme platform\road byte.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LSASS Authority] lshosts32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [THIRD BORE ACID DVD] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\math peak third bore\phone camp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [LSASS Authority] lshosts32.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SOProc_RegSoAlertAjWx1Nn] rundll32 shell32.dll,ShellExec_RunDLL C:\PROGRA~1\SOFTWA~1\soproc.exe -pack RegSoAlertAjWx1Nn

With ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED, click on Fix Checked.

Open Windows Explorer (Windows key+e), navigate to and delete the following files and folders (Don't be concerned if they can not be found):

C:\WINDOWS\System32\lshosts32.exe <--Files
C:\PROGRA~1\SOFTWA~1\soproc.exe

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\drive spam readme platform\ <--Folders
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\math peak third bore\

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\PHONEM~1\holekeep.exe <--File only at this time, but please post the compete folder name - "PHONEM?????"

I need you to check for hidden scheduled tasks that may be reinstalling LOP.

Open Notepad, (Start button, click on Run, type in Notepad, and click OK) copy & pastes the following block of text into Notepad:

dir c:\windows\tasks /a > sched.txt
notepad sched.txt
del sched.txt

Click on 'File', then 'Save as'
Select 'Save as type:' as All Files,
Save the file to the desktop as sched.bat. Close Notepad.

Double click on sched.bat and a notepad file should open.
Copy the contents of that file to your next post along with a fresh HJT log.

Is "Phone Manager" something you recognize?

Open Notepad, copy & paste the following into Notepad:

attrib -h C:\windows\tasks\A6047EA89183FB68.job
del C:\windows\tasks\A6047EA89183FB68.job

Save it to your desktop as Remjob.bat. Close Notepad.

Run Remjob.bat by double clicking on it.

The HJT log appears clean. How are things running now?

Phone Manager *could* have been some software to work with your cellphone. Just wanted to be sure I didn't disable a needed file.

Log looks clean...great job!

Keep HijackThis along with it's backup folder for a bit just in case there arises a need for the backup files it has created. Any other tools we downloaded or files we created can be uninstalled or deleted. If we have enabled viewing of Hidden and System files, go back and re-hide these files.

If this is a Windows XP system: After you have used your machine a while, and are confident that all is well, we can do a little final cleanup.

Purge Restore points:

XP System Restore periodically creates a partial system backup. It is quite likely that some of the now removed malware has been 'backed up' in those files.

Start->Control Panel->System, System Restore.
Check "Turn off System Restore".
Immediately reboot (all your restore points will be deleted by this).
Then Start->Control Panel->System, System Restore again.
UnCheck "Turn off System Restore" and create a new clean restore point..

Run Disk Cleanup

Click on the Start button and then on Run. Type in cleanmgr then click on OK. Be sure the (C:) drive is selected and click OK. It may take a bit for "Compress old files" to complete. Check all the boxes and click on OK, then OK again.

Now that you are clean, please follow these steps in order to keep your computer safe and secure:

How did I get infected?, With steps so it does not happen again!
Simple and easy ways to keep your computer safe and secure on the Internet

Glad we were able to be of help.
