Hi, I am Bonzi and I found this site because I had a nice surprise on my comuter yesterday. The computer would not start - said hard disc error. I started in safemode and to backup all new data. Now all my web pages keep going blank. on the Mozilla -tools- option -homepage states that I am using aboutblank as my homepage. I use Spydoctor religiously -but - oh well. Now I am looking to all my new BEST FRINDS for help.

Nice to meet you!

 to BC! bonzi.
You've come to the right place for computer help.
Sounds like you'd be better off to format once you get your backups.

Good Luck,
yanowhiz

Welcome to BC!

Before taking the extreme measure of reformatting and re-installing Windows, take a look at the self-help tutorial for removing about:blank. There is a version for W2000 and XP linked below, and one for other versions of Windows in the same forum:

Regards,
John
