while using partiton manager in ubuntu i may have accidently wiped my partition table :thumbsup: and now my harddrive thinks its empty. any idea how to fix this in freaking out about lossing EVERYTHING

you can use something like testdisk to recover the partition table.
get it on a live cd from here.
