Hello, first thank you to BC for giving me the tools to fix 2 rogue fake security programs and the alureon viruses/trojans.

My computer is now free of all the bad stuff (again, THANK YOU!), but I am confused about iexplore.exe. I was instructed to download a kill program and rename it to iexplore.exe which I did and did all the subsequent work to remove all the bad stuff and I don't know what do to with this iexplore program now on my desktop. Can I delete/uninstall it? I am confused because iexplore is currently running in my task manager. I read somewhere that this is part of IE8 and others say it is malware? Is the iexplore that I got from BC and was asked to rename to run to kill my malware the same thing that is running in my task manager?

Thanks!

You can also delete the Explorer.exe program from your desktop. that is really MBAM renamed.
Not the one in Task manager as you are correct about that one.
