I really hope someone can help me.

I am running XP SP3 with AVG 9.0 installed.

I think there is a problem with my AVG, as I can't open the console, but according to Task Manager it is running in the background.

Also, I can't open System Restore - when I double click it, there is a pause and then nothing.

If I try to uninstall AVG, it goes through the process, says 'are you sure?' etc, then ends without uninstalling AVG.

I have read through this and other forums and followed some advice - have tried the AVG remover tool (didn't work) etc. Have run Spybot S&D - nothing dodgy found.

Please help!
