OK im pretty clueless about most computer stuff but heres the best description i have. This just started yesterday. I have windows xp. Ive run ad-aware and avg with nothing malicious found. when i try to run spybot it stops barely a quarter of the way through. at the bottom when it stops, it says fraud.antivirus 2008. ive tried searching for this and have found nothing. when i try to run a .exe file it brings up the "open with" box and wants me to choose a file to run the program. almost everything in the control panel is unusable, when i double click a pop up says application is not found.

any help would be appreciated. im about ready to throw the computer out the window  thanks

Edit: I got spybot to finish with 3 errors that i cannot fix. they are Microsoft.Windows.FileExe, Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter.AntiVirusOverride and Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter.FirewallOverrride. Its telling me i need to be an administrator? I cannot access windows security center or my firewall. I cannot update or uninstall anything. im so lost!
