and keeps "finding" things long since gone. I corrected this phenom once on Vista which seems to suffer the same indexing "bug"...but don't remember how it was done. This scramble has made the search so disfunctional it is no longer usable. And the computer keeps running a disk check on boot saying there is a consistency problem...but the disk check doesn't fix the problem. I have turned off indexing on the My Documents folder ... now what? thanks in advance to my knowledgeable friends.
