Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Next time when you are asked to provide a log of some kind, copy and paste the content of the log into your reply. Don't attach it. This especially holds true in the malware sub-forum (for obvious reasons).

Holy guacamole, that's a lot of BSOD's!!

Hmm...where to start...??

Well, I can see it has been happening for the past month. Did you install any new software, devices, drivers, updates, etc...around that time? That's the first obvious thing to check.

I also need system specs...brand, model, processor, RAM, graphics card, etc...

Are you doing anything in particular when it happens or is it just random?

Give me as much information as you can about the circumstances and facts surrounding your problems, and I will do my best to sort through it all and find a solution. :flowers:

The BSOD dumps are pretty useless in this case, as anything can cause the Kernel to crash. I have some ideas of where to start, but I need more info from you.

I'd take a look in Event Viewer, looking for errors from either the firewall or the AV installed.

Oh yes, thanks for reminding me, Louis.

What anti-virus program and firewall are you using, Adam? This is very important...

Luis - Antivirus program: Avast
Ninja - Can't detect any pattern(s) correlation with BSOD events, Parameters from Event Viewer mostly the same.
Would you wish me to post a full System Information, cut and paste, to the forum , it would be an excessively long listing, excruciatingly painful to even look at.

Just a screenshot of Speecy would suffice.

You aren't giving us much to go on, Adam. What do you use the computer for? Word processing, gaming, hacking, what? We have to start somewhere....I mean, we could start down the list of things to check (RAM, hard drive, system files, startup programs, etc...), but if we could have more information surrounding the computer, it would at least maybe give us a "lead", if you will, on where to start.

Thanks !!!
I had downloaded some system info and it created a file of 1.2 MB, about 4K lines and that's why I was hesitant about posting it. Anyway I have a summary file =>

Thanks for your Speecy file - I am including screenshots from there too (A very nice tool).
Except that I'll have to send these as attachment(s), they are 11 of them - does not seem possible to cut and paste these.

Well there is a work around here

Your video card is a bit hot. That can cause issues. Make sure your computer is clean.

Good golly, that's hot!!

Yeah, 73C is about 163 Fahrenheit...pretty warm by any standards. Mine doesn't ever go higher than 60C (when I'm watching video).

Go buy a thing of canned air in the Electronics department of Wal-Mart or an office supply store (Office Max, Office Depot, Staples, etc..), and blow out the inside of your computer.

Overheating due to poor ventilation (accumulated dust on the fan, etc.) can certainly cause BSOD's.

Until your temps go back down, we'll assume that's what it is. If your temps go back to normal and you still get BSOD's, we'll look into other possibilities.
